Xpacy is a high-performance mobile application designed to bridge the gap between property owners, seekers, and service providers. It serves as a one-stop shop where users can list properties for sale or rent, browse verified listings with advanced price filtering, and execute secure transactions. Beyond standard real estate, Xpacy integrates a unique 'Service Request' module, allowing returning users to book facility management services like maintenance, space planning, and security. The app features a robust payment gateway for service fees and rental deposits, alongside a user-centric dashboard for tracking property status and service history.
GOALS
Building Xpacy Mobile allowed me to master the business side of tech—specifically the integration of financial systems and service-level agreements (SLAs) into a mobile product. I refined my skills in building scalable products and gained deep insights into mobile-first user retention strategies. This project also tested my ability to handle complex API integrations for map services and automated property verification workflows, ultimately delivering a production-ready tool that solves real-world housing and maintenance challenges.
CHALLENGES
The most complex hurdle was architecting a dual-flow system that caters to both property seekers and existing tenants requesting services. Balancing the real estate marketplace with a maintenance booking system required a highly flexible state management strategy that could handle the dynamic environments. Furthermore, ensuring secure, PCI-compliant payment processing within a mobile environment while maintaining a smooth UI during heavy data fetching (e.g., high-resolution property images) demanded significant performance optimization and caching strategies.
